Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 19, 2025

1. Who we are

Insynia ("we", "us") operates Insynia, a platform for managed coding agents that connect to your tools and repositories. We provide AI-assisted workflows, ticketing, and related services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account data: Email address, password (stored in hashed form), and session data when you sign up or sign in via our authentication provider.
  • Integration data: When you connect GitHub (or GitLab/Bitbucket), we receive repository information, installation identifiers, repository names, and visibility (public/private).
  • Usage and code data: Commit metadata (author name, email, message, timestamp), commit diffs and file changes, and AI-generated analysis of your commits. We may store diffs in our databases or cloud storage to provide the service.
  • Contributor data: Names, emails, avatar URLs, and activity statistics derived from commits and repositories you connect.
  • Product data: Organizations, projects, repositories, tickets, report content, report recipients, and generated documentation that you create within the platform.
  • Technical data: Device or browser information used for authentication (e.g. when using VS Code or OAuth), and server logs necessary to operate and secure the service.

3. How we use your data

We use the data to provide, maintain, and improve the Insynia platform—including managed coding agents, workflows connected to your repositories and tools, dashboards, reports, documentation, and integrations. We may use aggregated or anonymized data to improve our product and services. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Storage and sharing

Data is stored using our service providers (e.g. Supabase for application data; we may use cloud storage such as S3 for commit diffs). We share data only as needed to operate the service (e.g. hosting, infrastructure) and as required by law. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data; see "Your rights" below or contact us at info@insynia.ai.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@insynia.ai. You can also manage account settings and connected integrations from your dashboard.

7. Cookies and session

We use session and authentication cookies (and similar technologies) necessary to sign you in and keep your session secure. These are essential for the operation of the service.

8. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
